About this file

This document is Addendum #1 for the ITB MH 1077 Park Shelter Building Roofs project for the City of Madison Heights, Michigan, dated April 2, 2025. The addendum addresses a specific clarification request from a potential vendor regarding pricing and replacement details for the roofing project. The addendum provides a direct response to a question about the interpretation of "base" in the context of metal flashing replacement, clarifying that the existing metal fascia over exposed sub-fascia should be replaced on a like-for-like basis.

The addendum does not introduce new pricing terms or modify the original bid specifications, but instead offers precise guidance to bidders about the expected replacement approach. The response instructs vendors to refer to the existing conditions at the respective locations, ensuring that the replacement work matches the current architectural elements. No changes to other aspects of the bid are indicated, and the addendum maintains the original project parameters for the park shelter building roof replacement project.

ITB MH 1077 Park Shelter Building Roofs Addendum #1 – April 2, 2025

Replacement Question

Question: For each pricing page, there is a line for “price per board replacement – price/linear foot” and in the packet it mentions “replace metal flashing at base” on page 3. What is meant by “base”? Is this meant to be drip edge, or is metal fascia over exposed sub-fascia wanted?

Answer: The buildings currently have metal fascia over exposed sub-facia; we are looking for a like-for-like replacement. Please refer to the existing conditions at the respective locations.

At this time, all other requests remain the same.
