About this file

This document is an addendum to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the Georgia World Congress Center Authority for Portable Performance Staging Equipment. The addendum incorporates changes to the original IFB requirements, including confirming the need for 6'x8' mobile platforms with carpeted surfaces, adjustable stage skirting, and the ability to configure the stages in various temporary layouts. The addendum also clarifies that partial bids will not be accepted, and that there is no single fixed stage size, as the portable stages will be used for various temporary stage configurations. No guard rails or carts are required at this time. The addendum is part of IFB# PE-92200-RFQ-2025-000000032 and modifies the original proposal documents dated June 10th, 2024.

The addendum does not provide any details on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements or sources, or other commercial information. Bidders are instructed to submit a signed acknowledgement of the addendum along with their proposal, but a signature on the addendum does not constitute a signature on the original proposal document.

ADDENDUM ONE

GEORGIA WORLD CONGRESS CENTER AUTHORITY

Portable Performance Staging Equipment IFB# PE-92200-RFQ-2025-000000032

Addendum Issue Date: July 23rd, 2024

From: Georgia World Congress Center Authority

Purchasing Office

285 International Boulevard NW

Atlanta, Georgia 30313

Addendum 1 is hereby issued to incorporate the following as requirements of the Invitation for Bid, PE-92200-RFQ-2025-000000032:

1. Are 6' x 8' platforms necessary, or would two 4' x 6' (or 3' x 8') platforms be more desirable due to the cost savings? 6’x8’ platforms are required.

2. Are you wanting mobile stages (with wheel/cart) or just regular platforms? Mobile platforms required.

3. Are you looking to set up each 6’x8’ section separately? If so, would you want the skirting on all 4 sides or just 3? The stage configuration will vary depending on the event’s need and can be a single piece or several together. Skirts are placed around the full perimeter of a stage excluding a side against a wall.

4. 6’ Width is not standard for this brand, does 3’ x 8’ work for this quote? No, we require 6’x8’ stages

5. Do you need guard rails or carts? We are not currently looking for guard rails or rail storage carts.

6. Is this decking to be used primarily indoors on a level surface or will it be utilized outdoors? This will primarily be used indoors. We may on rare occasions use outside.

7. The decking I usually recommend comes with a standard surface finish or a carpet finish. Which would you prefer? You can submit both surface finish in your bid documents and we can compare to others.

8. Could you please provide ground plan layouts for the requested platforms? The portable risers are set in temporary configurations so it will vary how much stage skirting is required with each set. We will need skirt for heights of all risers (16”, 24”, 32”) that can be adjustable to fit multiple heights, and the length needs to be at a minimum of 6’-8’ but preferred to be longer as we can roll any excess drape and set behind/under the stage, so it is not visible when the stage is in place.

9. I wasn’t sure if y’all were accepting partial bids – if I could just quote the skirting

– or not? We don’t want to bid the stage skirt separately.

10. Can you please tell me the exact overall dimension of the stages you are trying to build? The portable stages in 6’x8’ sections will be used for various temporary stage sizes. There is not just one size stage that will be built.

11. We do not provide carpeting for our staging, however, our decks have a black poly ripple covering that is slip resistant and water resistant, and carpet can be installed over them by the installer. We do provide stage skirting, Steps and adjustable legs.

Carpeted portable stages with black carpet is the requested product.

This addendum will be a part of IFB# PE-92200-RFQ-2025-000000032 and modifies the original proposal documents dated June 10th, 2024 as noted.

NOTE: A signed acknowledgement of this addendum should be received by this office prior to the due date or should be attached to your proposal. A signature on this addendum does not constitute your signature on the original proposal document.
