About this file
This is an Addendum document for RFP Number 25RFP12491 issued by the South Dakota Department of Transportation for ADA Minivan procurement. The addendum contains 14 approved exceptions and deviations to the original specifications, primarily related to vehicle modifications and equipment alternatives for ADA-compliant minivans. The procurement seeks to acquire 8 Side Entry ADA Minivans and 2 Rear Entry Minivans for rural public transportation and specialized transportation providers throughout South Dakota and other approved states.
The approved modifications include acceptance of front wheel drive axles instead of AWD, single wide fold-down footrests instead of two, side entry non-swing fold out ramps in lieu of swingout ramps, and various equipment substitutions such as Freedman Seating 3PT Space Saver Fold-Away Seats and Q-Straint Nylon bags instead of mesh bags. Technical documentation will be available through BraunAbility's public domain website rather than physical service manuals, and an in-floor mobility ramp option has been added as an alternative to the side folding ramp.
