About this file
This document is an Addendum 1 Cover Document for Bid No. 07-25 issued by the City of DeBary, Florida, covering two separate collapsed pipe replacement projects at 430 Summerhaven Drive and 408/410 N Pine Meadow Drive. The addendum, dated June 10, 2025, provides updated bid documentation for a construction project involving drainage infrastructure rehabilitation, with a bid submission deadline of June 30, 2025. The addendum includes revised bid forms, construction site plans, and specific instructions for contractors regarding survey and layout requirements, performance and payment bonds, utility coordination with Duke Energy, and technical specifications for pipe removal, backfill, and compaction.
The addendum outlines detailed technical requirements for the project, including specific guidelines for survey work, property line staking, and construction easements. Contractors are required to employ a professional land surveyor for layout and staking, provide as-built documentation, and use a certified testing laboratory for density testing of backfill materials. The project specifications mandate precise construction methods, such as saw-cutting existing pavement, removing and disposing of existing infrastructure, and achieving specific compaction densities (98% of modified proctor under pavement and 95% elsewhere). The City will secure temporary construction easements and pay Duke Energy for temporary power pole support, indicating a comprehensive approach to managing the infrastructure replacement project.
