About this file
This is an Addendum issued by the California Department of Parks and Recreation for the John Marsh House Stabilization Phase B project at Marsh Creek State Park (Bid Number C24863033). The bid due date is March 5th, 2025, at 2 PM. The project has a work period of 90 days for substantial completion, with a total contract term of 455 days from Notice to Proceed (NTP) to allow for project delays, closeout activities, and final payment.
The addendum clarifies three key points through a Q&A format: the difference between contract term and work period, DVBE requirements, and site walk attendance list availability. Regarding DVBE participation, bidders must list their DVBE firms and percentages at the time of bid submission, with a minimum requirement of 6%. The project includes a mandatory job showing, and a prebid site walk sign-in sheet will be published on the CaleProcure bid site following the event.

Marsh Creek State Park
John Marsh House Stabilization Phase B Bid Number: C24863033
Bid Date: March 5th, 2025, 2 PM
The changes in this addendum shall be included in the Project and this addendum shall be part of the Project documents. All conditions not affected by this addendum shall remain unchanged.
1. Questions (Q) and Answers (A):
1) Q: Can clarification be provided for the difference between the contract term (455 days from NTP) and the work period (90 days).
A: The work period (or performance period) is the duration of time allowed to achieve substantial completion of work before liquidated damages will be assessed. The contract term is generally equal to the performance period, plus 1 year to allow flexibility for instances such as project delays, project closeout activities, and final payment.
2) Q: Does the general contractor/bidder need to list the DVBE firm they intend to use by name and list the percentage of the contract amount, or do they just make the commitment to meet a certain percentage and choose their DVBE after the contract is awarded?
A: Yes, details of how each bidder is meeting the DVBE requirement is required at time of bid (eg. prime is DVBE or subconsultant details). Please reference form DPR 479IP for additional information relating to DVBE requirements.
3) Q: Will a site walk attendance list be made available after that event occurs?
A: Yes, the prebid site walk sign in sheet is typically published to the CaleProcure bid site a few days after the event.
