About this file

This is Addendum 1 to Bid #26012 for an Allison Hybrid Battery Pack Replacement Project issued by the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County on December 3, 2025. The addendum clarifies specifications for battery pack replacements across six hybrid buses (Bus #759, 762, 763, 764, 766, and 767). The project involves replacing Energy Storage System (ESS) 3 units currently installed in these vehicles. The addendum provides identifying information for each bus, including Allison Hybrid Drive-unit serial numbers, ESS serial numbers, and Vehicle Identification numbers to enable accurate component matching and installation.

The addendum addresses three key clarifications from prospective offerors regarding project requirements. A detailed chart identifies the existing battery pack serial numbers and corresponding vehicle information for accurate replacement specifications. In response to bidder inquiries, the issuing agency confirmed that no performance bonds are required for this bid, though bid bonds may be part of standard requirements under federal clauses applicable to construction activities. All questions and answers presented in the addendum are incorporated into the bid documents, and all other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged. Prospective offerors should direct inquiries to Edward Tulenko, Senior Buyer, through the OpenGov Q&A tool or email at accbids@accgov.com. The Unified Government reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to award based on the highest and best interest of the jurisdiction.
