About this file

This is Addendum #1 to a Request for Proposal issued by the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) for a turnkey dishwasher procurement for the dining hall, Solicitation Number BC-21484-BC. The solicitation seeks a new Champion EUCCW8 model dishwasher with installation, delivery, design services, and warranty coverage. The response deadline has been extended to Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with price proposals to be submitted to Financi.wur4u1yvd84z9yoq@u.box.com. The addendum clarifies project scope, electrical requirements (480v/3-phase, 100-amp breaker for the machine and 30-amp breaker for the booster), and confirms that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work is the bidder's responsibility as part of the turnkey procurement. Standard working hours are established between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and no building or health department permits are required.

Price proposals must be submitted on the provided form with all unit and extended prices clearly stated in dollars and cents, representing fully loaded costs including labor, overhead, profit, and all expenses necessary to perform the work. Bidders are instructed to include options, accessories, design services, installation, delivery, and warranty costs in their pricing, with the form noting that pricing should reflect the full cost of ownership over the contract term and may include education or government pricing discounts. The successful bidder will be required to submit a performance bond as detailed in Exhibit O. The evaluation will prioritize technical merit over cost, and UMBC reserves the right to award the contract for all items or any parts thereof. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum and confirm that key personnel identified in their technical proposal will remain assigned to the UMBC contract without changes unless written authorization is obtained from the University.
