About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Solid Waste Services issued by the City. The addendum provides written answers to questions submitted by prospective vendors. Key details include:

The city is requesting proposals for solid waste services and will provide the location for a convenience center. The convenience center will be open Tuesday through Saturday, with at least 8 hours of operation per day. The city is requesting pricing for customers outside the city limits to use the convenience center, but this may not be included in the final contract. The contractor will be required to provide new roll carts, which must be clean and in good working condition, but the city is no longer requiring smart chip technology. The current hauler is Amwaste, and the city currently pays for disposal, with all customers being part of the contract and the vendor having exclusive rights to provide all solid waste services within the city limits.

Pricing details indicate the customer pays the city, and the city will then pay the vendor. There is no mention of any set-asides or funding requirements. The document provides clarification on several aspects of the scope of work and requirements from the original RFP.
