About this file

This Addendum 1 document amends the Food Safety and Sanitation Program bid 006-SNS-2023 issued by the Dougherty County School System in Albany, Georgia. The original bid was released on April 18, 2022, with an amended due date of May 19, 2022. The program encompasses food safety and sanitation services across multiple school nutrition facilities, including three sites that require only hand washing and hand sanitizer stations with no food preparation or serving activities. The addendum clarifies that vendors should disregard developing customized Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans, which were initially described in the scope of work, and should not include HACCP plan development costs in their proposals.

The Dougherty County School System currently expends $2,828.67 monthly during the ten-month school year for food safety and sanitation services across all locations, totaling approximately $28,286.70 annually. Prospective vendors should note that the district does not require food preparation or cleaning services at the three hand washing and sanitizer station-only facilities, allowing bidders to adjust their service scope and pricing accordingly. Contact information for submitting questions or bids is directed to Sharonda Thompson at the Dougherty County School System, with phone and email contact details provided for coordination.

CLARIFICATION(S) THRU Q&A

Q1 “ Page 21 Attachment A – Scope of work—The first 5 bullet points describe a framework for developing a HACCP Plan. Can the district please clarify if the development of a customized HACCP plan for each kitchen site is desired as part of the proposal response? If yes, can the district clarify if the cost of this plan should be included in the annual service cost for the overall program or if it may be priced as an a la carte service?”

A1 Disregard developing a HACCP Plan.

Q2 “What is the district currently paying for their food safety & sanitation program?”

A2 Currently we pay $2,828.67 a month (10 months) during the school year for all locations.

Q3 “Page 27 – District Profile—Regarding the 3 sites that only require hand wash & hand sanitizer stations

– is there any food prep and/or serving of food at these facilities? In addition, is there any cleaning that is required at these sites? E.g. floors, serving lines, washing of pots, pans etc."

A3 No prep required at those (3) locations. Therefore, we only require hand washing and sanitizer stations.
