About this file
Addendum #1 for Bid2026-216 is issued by the City of Warwick, Rhode Island's Purchasing Division for Ice Skating Rental Services at Greenwood Credit Union City Hall Plaza. The addendum provides comprehensive responses to 23 vendor questions regarding the ice skating rental operation, covering details such as insurance requirements, operational management, facility specifications, and vendor responsibilities. The project involves a seasonal ice skating rental service where the selected vendor will provide a turnkey rental operation, including skates, staffing, equipment, sanitation, and customer service, with the City of Warwick maintaining the ice and providing the facility.
Key financial and operational terms include the vendor receiving solely skate rental revenue, with monthly payments to the City of Warwick due within 30 days of each month's close. The rink will be available for public skating and potentially private events, with the vendor receiving two weeks' notice of schedule changes. Additional amenities include food trucks, a concession stand, lockers, and an option for skaters to bring their own skates. The City will provide infrastructure such as wifi, phone services, rubber flooring, skate racks (capacity for 360 skates), and a temperature-controlled skate rental area partially shared with a ticket booth. The vendor is responsible for removing all skates and merchandise during the off-season at their own expense.
