About this file

Addendum No. 1 is issued by Byce & Associates, Inc. for the State of Michigan's Coldwater Michigan State Police Post Boiler project located in Coldwater, Michigan. The addendum, dated March 15, 2019, provides clarifications and responses to requests for information (RFIs) for a project involving mechanical system upgrades at a state police facility. The bid date is set for March 20th, 2019, with the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) as the owner. Key project elements include modifications to the existing heating systems, installation of a new DDC (Direct Digital Control) system, replacement of ceiling tiles, and preparation for new gas service from Consumers Energy.

The addendum addresses several technical details, including the control of existing radiant heat, cabinet unit heaters, and unit heaters. Specific clarifications include requirements for outdoor duct insulation, domestic water pipe insulation specifications, and ceiling tile replacement. The project involves integrating new mechanical systems with existing infrastructure, with particular attention to heating control sequences and system compatibility. The addendum provides guidance on subcontractor involvement, noting that while the main contract holder was required to attend a pre-bid walkthrough, subcontractors were preferred but not mandatory to attend.
