Location Response
Generator noted as "New Mech Unit"; should note as "generator"?
A1.20
Note should be corrected to reading "NEW GENERATOR"
Concrete detail shown as 4" thick on A1.20 at
Elementary - is this just for sidewalks to be replaced? There is a 24" thick concrete pad for generator on E9.01 detail. Are pads for both generators to be poured this thick for entire pad? Please provide more detail. No site plan showing generator for HS.
A1.20 and E9.01
The generators for both the HS/MS and Elementary are to include a concrete convenience pad per the
Electrical detail noted. The HS/MS dumpster enclosure includes a stone base area where the generator is to be located with the stone being relocated temporarily while the generator is being installed and reinstalled around the new generator concrete pad once installed. The Elementary school generator pad is to also be installed per the Electrical detail noted with the surrounding concrete to be installed per the detail given on drawing A1.20.
Plan General Notes watermarked as "Not
Edited".
A1.20
"NOT EDITED" notation should be removed from the drawing legend.
Note work related to generators and Area A work on MEP plans as Alternates for clarity.
The alternates scope of work is to apply throughout the entire construction documentatio package and will be revised if the assocaited alternates are to be accepted or declined based on the bidding results.
5 Is W-01 same as WIN-01 in legend? A2.00 Correct, the WIN-01 keynote is a general note referring to a window with W-01 being the specific designation for the window inlcuded within the office design.
Alternate A-1: Other windows call out a SHD-
01 for window covering. The W-01 in Office
002A does not have a covering note, is one desired?
A6.00
Yes, refer to drawing D2/A7.11 that calls our shade WS1 for the assocaited window system.
7 What is the head height for each area? Various Not sure what this is refering to but ceiling heights can be seen within the reflected ceiling plans.
Is there more info available on the monitors to be supplied by Contractor (EQP-01)?
A1.10
Refer to to the Technology drawings and specifications that callout the type of monitor to be used.
Is there a spec on soap dispensers and paper towel holders?
A1.10
These are to be owner supplied and contractor installed.
Note #8 on this sheet says to round outside corners of block before painting. Please verify we are to do this at ALL existing outside corners in the renovation areas?
A7.21
No, this note only applies to new block that is to be installed.
I know we discussed doing some light demo work prior to the June 10th start date. Would the school consider allowing floor demo and abatement as well prior to 6/10 or does all abatement work need to occur during summer break?
All abatement work will need to occur during the summer when students are primarily not in the building unless there is value to be had in doing so over a weekend before school is on summer break.
Do the exterior doors in the various work areas serve as means of egress to where we need to maintain access through the space at all times and/or only have 1 area inaccessabile at any given time, or can multiple of the areas be blocked off from the corridor side at any given time?
The room exterior doors are for that specific space when occuied only. No egress needs to be maintained if the room is under construciton and access is not given to the public.
I think Area A on LS1.00 is meant to note the occupancy as an INCREASE rather than a decrease. Doesn't change anything for us I just noticed the discrepancy.
LS1.00
Agreed, this will need to be taken into consideration at the state plans review level.
Please advise if we should definitely add in an allowance as discussed at pre-bid meeting for supports/cables above ceilings (for inspection).
Yes, the allowance specification section will be re-issued withn Addendum 01 to include an allowance for miscellaneous cable cleanup.
What is the image about the demolition keynotes on this sheet?
D1.00
That is the buildings exisiting greenhouse foundation as part of the building overall floor plan.
Are the (9) 2x4 lights noted in Office Rm 4 on
D1.01 to be salvaged and reinstalled? Appear noted this way on ED3.10 but please confirm.
D1.01 / ED3.10
Yes, these are to be salvaged for re-installation as well.
Areas C and A floor plans are labeled incorrectly throughout electrical drawings.
E drawings
Understood, these area designations should follow the Architectural plans.
Area C EL-1 elec panel in corner of Storage
Rm called to remain on D1.01 but called for replacement on ED3.10.
D1.01 and ED3.10
This panel should be replaced per drawing ED3.10.
Did we determine at pre-bid walk that carpet tiles in Area A shown on A7.21 as "re-use" are going to be new instead? Please confirm.
A7.21 Correct, this carpet will no longer be salvaged and reinstalled but removed and installed as a new carpet as called out in the finish plans.
Verify all walls to be level 5 finish (not just accent painted walls).
A7.21
No, only accent wall locations noted on the drawings need to be level 5 finished.
Are Sk-1 sink solids collectors existing (to be re-installed) or to be provided new?
P1.10
Sinks SK-1 and the associated solids interceptors are new
Mechanical schedule shows unit ventilators
UV-1, 2, and 3. Sheet M1.10 calls for UV-3A in Area B. Please confirm this is supposed to be UV-3?
M1.10
This is unit vent UV-3 in Area B.
UV replacement note for Area B floor plan appears to be somewhat cut off.
M1.10
Note corrected on plan. This is the same note called out for each unit ventilator in unit A.
UV-1 in Area A should be paired with CU-1 but shows paired with CU-2 on Area A floor plan.
M1.10
CU-2 for unit vent UV-1 should be labeled CU-1
Water flow diagram for HS should show P-1 pump with B-1 but shows P-2.
M1.11
Circulating pump associated with boiler B-1 shall be labeled P-1 on flow diagram.
Enlarged floor plan for HS boiler rm demolition notes air separator to remain but
HS water flow diagram on same sheet shows calls for replacement air separator.
M1.11
Air separator shall be replaced as shown on flow diagram.
Pumps P-1 and P-2 appear to be new but please confirm. Not listed in pumps schedule on M2.00 (but noted in Boiler schedule as note)
M2.00 Pumps P-1 and P-2 are typically supplied with boiler thus included in boiler schedule as opposed to pump schedule.
Notes D and G appear to be duplicate notes.
No note G on Floor Plan this sheet.
ED4.02
Nore G not used. Delete note G.
