About this file

This document is an Addenda No. 2 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) for a retractable pool dome project located in Gresham, Oregon, within Multnomah County. The project involves the construction of a custom-made, see-through retractable dome over MHCC's outdoor 50-meter pool. The addenda addresses vendor questions and answers, including the ability for bidders to submit multiple pricing options based on obtaining their own Oregon CCB license or using MHCC's general contractor or the bidder's own Oregon-licensed contractor for the installation. Additionally, MHCC has agreed to waive the bid bond requirement for this project.

Regarding pricing, the addenda indicates that MHCC will be posting a new bid sheet to reflect the changes outlined in the addenda. No other information is provided about pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or sources.

VENDOR QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS

Q1. Our company is very interested in this project. The dome will be custom build outside of Oregon and I do not think our company can get an Oregon CCB license in this time frame before the bids are due.

Answer: The College will be hiring a General Contractor to prep the site before the dome will be installed; you can submit up to 3 pricings as follows:

- Pricing with your company getting it’s own CCB license before the install take place on campus.

- Pricing using our General Contractor for the install.

- Pricing using your own selected Oregon CCB licensed contractor for the install.

We will be posting a new bid sheet to reflect the changes listed above.

Q2. The timeframe for getting a bid bond on time is really tight, can the bid bond be waived?

Answer: MHCC has agreed to waive the bid bond for this project.
