About this file

This document is Addendum #1 for the 2024 Martin Retention Treatment Basin Improvements project, issued by the Martin Sanitary Diversion Drainage District in St. Clair Shores, Michigan on May 15, 2024. The addendum modifies the original bidding documents for a project involving improvements to the Martin Retention Treatment Basin, with Project No. WWS-2022-010. Key updates include a pre-bid meeting attendance sheet, additional permit information for the City of St. Clair Shores right-of-way, an updated EPA certification form, and modifications to the project's contract time and owner days. The addendum specifies that the contract includes 50 owner-initiated weekday cancellations throughout the project, which may be due to wet weather, dewatering, flushing operations, or other owner-related facility usage.

The project is funded through a USEPA Community Grant, with bids to be submitted as a lump sum contract. The addendum clarifies that the contractor must account for potential work interruptions, with the owner having the discretion to halt work during wet weather conditions. If the 50 allotted owner days are exceeded, the contractor is entitled to a one-for-one adjustment in contract times. The pre-bid meeting was held on May 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Martin Retention Treatment Basin located at 22301 Bon Brae Street in St. Clair Shores. The notice of award is scheduled for after the board meeting on June 10, 2024, with the project involving various improvements and demolition work at the treatment basin facility.
