About this file
This is an Addendum #2 document containing responses to bidder questions for the City of Tucker, Georgia's 2022 Street Resurfacing Phase 2 Project (ITB #2022-013). The addendum clarifies technical specifications and project requirements through fifteen question-and-answer pairs addressing contractor obligations, material specifications, and operational parameters. Key clarifications include that tripod signs will be provided by the City, no asphalt compaction testing is required beyond a proof roll, milled surfaces must be topped as soon as possible (generally the next day), finished asphalt need not be flush with curb and gutter lips, patching depth will vary from three to six inches as determined by the City inspector, and leveling will be full-width when required on Brownlee Drive at depths ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 inches. The document confirms work hours are 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, with additional hours requiring City authorization, and that DeKalb County will be responsible for all utility adjustments.
The addendum addresses material specifications including confirmation that 9.5mm Type II asphalt will be placed at a two-inch depth and that 19mm mix will be used for patching. Patches will be sized to accommodate standard six to seven-foot milling machines. Contractors must acknowledge receipt of the addendum by completing and submitting the provided form with company name, contact person, address, and signature. This document serves as a binding supplement to the original invitation to bid and must be included with all proposals submitted for the street resurfacing project.
