About this file

The document is an ADA Requirements file from the City of Tampa detailing accessibility information requirements for bidders and proposers on information, media, and communication technology (ICT) products or services. The document is associated with a Citywide Cabling Services solicitation from the City of Tampa's Technology and Innovation Department, which is seeking proposals from qualified companies to provide voice and data cabling and installation services for Moves, Adds, Changes (MAC) activities. The selection will be based on the proposal deemed most advantageous to the City.

The accessibility requirements mandate that proposers submit comprehensive documentation, including an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) based on the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), demonstrating conformance to WCAG 2.1 Level AA and Section 508 standards. Proposers must provide detailed supplemental accessibility reports, including evaluation methods, accessibility features, potential limitations, configuration instructions, and remediation plans for non-conforming features. The City reserves the right to conduct demonstrations and testing of proposed ICT items to verify accessibility claims before making an award decision. The solicitation emphasizes the City's commitment to ensuring that procured systems, products, and services are usable by all people, regardless of ability, without requiring specialized adaptation.
