About this file

This document is an Addendum #1 issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park Restroom Remodel project, Bid No. BDC03-24/25. The addendum provides responses to questions from bidders on various aspects of the electrical work, including the meter base, panel location, grounding, service feeder size, campsite power, surge protection, and lighting controls. The addendum also clarifies that all existing electrical shall be considered abandoned and removed, with new wiring, controls, and fixtures to be installed per code. Bids for this project must include the signed addendum.

The existing utility locations are not shown on the plans, so the contractor is instructed to visit the site and determine the locations. The restroom is an existing structure, so there may be exterior lighting that remains and requires power and controls. The project involves the relocation and addition of interior walls, which necessitates the removal of existing electrical items that may conflict with the proposed changes.
