About this file
This is a Notice of Intended Decision issued by the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) regarding a competitively solicited contract for switchgear-transformers inspections under original advertisement ITB-26-015. The solicitation covers three commodity categories: electrical equipment maintenance and service (73152108), electrical inspection service (72151515), and equipment inspection service (81141804). The informational notice advertisement period runs from October 27, 2025, at 3:00 PM through October 30, 2025, at 3:00 PM. This is not a competitive solicitation or request for bids but rather a notice of intent to award based on a previously issued competitively solicited contract. No specific contract term, renewal options, site visits, or bidder conferences are detailed in this notice.
FSDB received fewer than two responsive bids or proposals and is therefore pursuing authority under Florida Statute §287.057(6) to negotiate the best terms and conditions with the available respondent. The notice does not specify pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent information, or funding amounts and sources. Inquiries regarding the solicitation should be directed to Elizabeth Nimitz via email at nimitze@fsdbk12.org at 207 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine, FL 32084; phone calls are not accepted for competitive solicitation inquiries. Protests must be submitted in writing within 72 hours of the Notification of Intent to Award, with formal written protests required within ten days thereafter, and may require posting of a protest bond in accordance with Florida Statutes §28-110-005.
