About this file
This document is an Amendment 2 to the Executive Office of Health and Human Services Office of Medicaid Rate Year 2014 Acute Hospital Request for Applications and Contract. The amendment, effective June 30, 2014, revises the hospital quality performance measures to be reported by acute hospitals under the contract. Specifically, it removes the requirement to report on the PN-3b measure for community acquired pneumonia, while maintaining the reporting requirement for the PN-6 measure. The amendment also replaces pages 13 and 14 of the MassHealth Hospital Contract with updated language.
The revised quality performance measures cover various categories including maternity, pediatric asthma, community acquired pneumonia, surgical care infection prevention, health disparities, care coordination, and emergency department measures. Hospitals must continue to collect and report on the specified measures as part of their contract obligations.
