The response deadline is November 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM EST. The NAICS code is 812210 (Funeral Homes and Funeral Services). This procurement is set-aside exclusively for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs), defined as Indian Economic Enterprises (IEEs) that also qualify as small business concerns under 13 CFR Part 121. The requirement involves transporting human remains from the location of death to a designated medical examiner's office within five hours, and from the medical examiner's office to the family's chosen funeral home or mortuary within 24 hours following autopsy completion. The contractor must also perform post-autopsy repair work as needed. Drivers must hold valid Arizona driver's licenses and be legally employed by an entity authorized to transport human remains in Arizona; a licensed, certified mortician is preferred. The Service Unit reported 42 autopsies requiring transportation in 2026 for workload planning purposes only, without guaranteeing future volume. Interested vendors must submit company name, point of contact, DUNS or SAM Unique Entity Identifier, tax ID, business category qualification, capability statement, manufacturer authorization documentation, and the IHS Indian Economic Enterprise Representation form with self-certification of eligibility and identification of the Federally Recognized Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Corporation supporting their IEE status.
