About this file

This is a Notice to Contractors document from Sacramento County for the AC Overlay Project SB1 2022 - Phase 4, a public works infrastructure project. The project involves furnishing labor, materials, and equipment to construct an asphalt concrete overlay, repair deteriorated pavement sections, perform base repairs, place rubberized asphalt concrete overlay or slurry seal, install ADA curb ramps, make traffic signal improvements, restripe roadways, and complete related improvements. The bid is scheduled for submission on February 17, 2022, at 2:00 PM, with pre-bid questions due by February 4, 2022. The estimated construction cost is $5,000,000, and the project requires a General Engineering Contractor (Class A) license.

The bid includes a comprehensive pricing proposal with 39 line items covering various construction activities, such as portable changeable message signs, concrete and asphalt work, traffic striping, signal modifications at multiple intersections, and other infrastructure improvements. Bidders must submit electronic responses through the Sacramento County Electronic Bidding Portal, provide a bid guarantee of at least 10% of the bid amount, and comply with labor compliance requirements, including prevailing wage regulations. The project is funded through SB1 (likely referring to transportation funding legislation) and requires contractors to be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations and adhere to specific contractual and legal provisions.
