About this file
This document is an addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by Burke County, Georgia for the purchase and installation of air conditioning equipment for the kitchens at Jackson High School and Henderson Middle School. The project is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2025. The addendum addresses various questions from bidders regarding the project scope, including the possible relocation of the equipment to the roofs, use of round ductwork, electrical and gas service requirements, badging and access, drawing availability, and deadlines. The addendum also provides clarification on the proposal submission process, including the bid opening, COI requirements, and site visits.
The RFP seeks proposals for the purchase and installation of air conditioning equipment for the kitchens at the two schools. Bidders are asked to provide quotes for all three approved manufacturers or the least expensive option. The project is funded by the state and local jurisdictions, and a certified test and balance is required. Bidders are responsible for any necessary ceiling and grid removal and reinstallation as part of their proposals.
