About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the procurement of two 16 Channel Diversity Combining / Correlating Best Source Selectors for the Atlantic Test Range's Telemetry Branch. The specific model is the GDP Space Systems Model MD2267C-M16-G6-EN, which will support real-time data processing in new mission control rooms for the Atlantic Ranges and Targets (ART) Department. The Best Source Selectors will use signal/data quality from multiple antennas to provide mission data with fewer dropouts, enhancing decision-making capabilities for platform customers.

The deliverable includes two units with comprehensive technical specifications: 16 Digital Data/Clock and Ethernet Input Data Channels, 16 Digital Data/Clock Decapsulated Outputs, 6 Digital Data/Clock and Ethernet Group Outputs, GDP & RCC DQE/DQM functionality, Majority Vote Weighted by Signal Quality Function, and support for all GDP BSS Modes & Algorithms. Additional features include Frame Sync Pattern Detectors, Built-in BERT Function, Ethernet Remote Control, and 75 Ohm Remote Control GUI. The government requires delivery within 120 days after receipt of the order (ARO), with the equipment designed to support the Real-Time Telemetry Processing System (RTPS) for processing and displaying data from aircraft or test articles.

Statement of Work for:

Best Source Selectors – New Mission Control Rooms

1.0 Background

The Atlantic Test Range, Telemetry Branch is procuring two (2) 16 Channel Diversity Combining / Correlating Best Source Selectors – GDP Space Systems Model MD2267C-M16-G6-EN. These Best Source Selectors will be used by the Atlantic Ranges and Targets (ART) Department’s Telemetry Systems Branch’s operational team for real-time data processing to support operations inside new mission control rooms (MCRs).

2.0 Scope

The Real-Time Telemetry Processing System (RTPS) provides processing and display of data which is collected and transmitted as telemetry signals from the aircraft or other test article. RTPS receives the telemetry signals, decodes each individual measurement included in the signals received, computes additional "derived measurements' needed, and makes all measurements available for display in a Mission Control Room (MCR). The actual data displays are then selected by the Flight Test Engineers according to the requirements of the specific test being conducted. RTPS operations are conducted and data processed in a sequential collection of equipment called a stream.

3.0 Objectives/Tasks

The Telemetry Branch is planning to install (2) Best Source Selectors to support new Mission Control Rooms. GDP Bit Sync Encapsulators and Best Source Selectors use signal/data quality from multiple antennas to provide mission data with fewer dropouts providing enhanced decision quality data for the platform customer. These capabilities are critical to the real-time processing that the Atlantic Test Range provides for customer missions.
