About this file

This document is an Antiterrorism Awareness pamphlet for contractors working at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) in New Jersey. The pamphlet provides guidance on recognizing and reporting potential terrorist activities, defining terrorism as "the unlawful use of violence to instill fear and coerce governments or societies," which is often motivated by religious, political, or ideological beliefs. It outlines specific indicators contractors should be alert to, including surveillance, unfamiliar vehicles or people, illegally parked vehicles, and repeated vehicle passages.

The document details four Force Protection Conditions (FPCON) levels (Normal, Alpha, Charlie, Delta, and Bravo), each representing increasing threat levels and corresponding security measures. Contractors are instructed to report suspicious activities to the 87th Security Forces Squadron at (609) 754-6001. The pamphlet emphasizes that individuals can become terrorist victims through association, location, or random opportunity, and encourages contractors to be "Force Multipliers" by providing additional vigilance to help maintain security at the base and surrounding community.
