About this file

This document is a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) for federal market research conducted by the United States Air Force, Ogden Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC/OBCA).

The Air Force seeks qualified sources to fabricate and deliver nine bomb bay door trailers for use by USAF personnel: six Long trailers (Part Number X201846369-10) and three Short trailers (Part Number X201846369-30). All trailers must be fully assembled in accordance with specified technical drawings and include protective cradles/guards, casters, tow-bar assemblies, hardware, finish, identification markings, and safety stenciling. Welding must comply with AWS D1.1/D1.2 standards, and all trailers must be inspected for completeness and drawing compliance prior to delivery. The technical drawings are classified as Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) with Export Control (Distribution C) restrictions and are limited to U.S. and Canadian contractors certified under the Joint Certification Program (JCP). Interested vendors must request drawing access by submitting an active DD Form 2345 certificate and CAGE Code to Program Manager Paul Mullins at paul.mullins.2@us.af.mil; approved drawings will be transmitted securely via DoD SAFE only.

Capability survey responses are due by close of business on December 4, 2026, submitted via email only. The survey requests detailed business information, past experience on similar projects, quality assurance processes, technical data generation capabilities, manufacturing tooling capabilities, facility and equipment listings, and commerciality information including catalog pricing and warranty terms. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate, and joint ventures or teaming arrangements are permitted. The government will not reimburse participants for survey expenses, and participation does not ensure future solicitation or contract award consideration.
