About this file
This document is an Item Description memorandum from the Department of the Air Force Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex (AFMC) at Tinker Air Force Base, detailing specifications for handheld scanners. The requirement is for two primary scanner systems: a Handheld Self-Positioning Laser Scanner System and an Optical CMM Scanner Unit for shop floor environments. Each system includes comprehensive components such as scanner units, carrying cases, cables, power supplies, calibration plates, targets, training materials, and a one-year warranty.
The associated federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation (Solicitation Number: A26-006) for Handheld Scanners and Software, targeting United States Air Force personnel. The market survey aims to identify potential sources with expertise in scanner qualification and production. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate, with joint ventures and teaming arrangements welcomed. Potential contractors are advised that participation in the survey does not guarantee future solicitation or contract awards, and no reimbursement will be provided for survey participation expenses. Interested parties are requested to provide documentation demonstrating their capabilities in meeting the detailed scanner system requirements.
