About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the procurement of one Solvent Recovery / Distillation System for Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The system is specifically designed to recapture and reuse MIL-DTL-81772C Type 1 polyurethane thinner used in paint gun cleaning operations, with the goal of minimizing new solvent purchases and reducing environmental impact. Key technical specifications include third-party certification for Class 1, Division 1, Group D environments, 460-480V/3 phase power requirements, a 40-50 gallon working volume, a vacuum-assisted system to reduce boiling temperature, and a self-contained condensing system with stainless steel internal condenser surfaces.
The SOW outlines comprehensive requirements for delivery, installation, startup, and training, including contractor responsibilities for utility connections, system testing, and training up to six key operating personnel over two days. The system must meet specific operational parameters such as automatic continuous feed, sealed filling system, and safety features like a level high switch to prevent vessel overflow. Additional requirements include providing two printed and one electronic manual, a minimum one-year warranty, and a spare parts list. The procurement emphasizes safety protocols, environmental compliance, and adherence to Tinker Air Force Base operational standards throughout the acquisition and implementation process.
