(2) BOAT TRAILERS

U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, WILMINGTON DISTRICT

SURVEY VESSELS

S/V “POTTER” & S/V “KNOWLTON”

Monday, June 13, 2025

1. GENERAL: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and services to provide (2) new boat trailers for the (2) PARKER 2530 Extended Cabin Survey Vessels “Potter” and “Knowlton”.

In the performance of this contract the Contractor shall comply with the following documents and any references proscribed in this contract.

2. SPECIFICATIONS: The Contractor shall provide (2) Aluminum Boat Trailers for two 25’ PARKER 2530 extended cabin survey boats, 25’ length, 9’6” beam modified V Hull with 16 degree deadrise. IAW the following trailer specifications and requirements.

DELIVERY: 2-weeks from the Contract Award Date

Axles: USA manufactured Tandem 6,000-lb. galvanized steel torsion axles. Integrated submersible E-Z-Lube spindle lubrication system for easy to fill maintenance and the system allows for grease to easily flow to both the inner and outer bearings for continuous lubrication.

Wheels: 16" galvanized wheels with 235-80-R16 E rated, USA manufactured trailer tires with mounted spare tire of same size.

Brakes: DEEMAXX (or Equivalent) vented disc brake components on every axle for maximum stopping power. Corrosion resistant materials or corrosion coating for protection from the marine environment.

Brake System, HydraStar (or Equivalent) Electric Over Hydraulic:

Electric Over Hydraulic braking system securely mounted inside the frame rails and concealed from UV exposure, weather and external damage.

Bunks and Stanchions:

Pressure-treated marine grade lumber covered with marine-grade UV-resistant carpet and thru-bolted with 316 stainless steel hardware to fully-welded 2" stanchions.

Construction, Military-Spec Welded Aluminum:

Precision-welded extruded aluminum frame with welded double-gusseted cross members to assure structural stability.

Reinforced with beefy plates of welded aluminum for additional strength.

Fenders and Fender Steps:

.125-gauge aluminum fenders with fully-finished front and rear fender bracket steps “welded” to the frame and covered with non-slip marine decking.

Hardware: Premium marine-grade 316L stainless steel hardware. Tef-Gel PTFE-based (or Equivalent) fastener lubricant shall be used on every threaded fastener to protect against galvanic corrosion.

Hubs: Air-tight positive pressure hub protectors with a Visual Diaphragm, to prevent water intrusion into the bearing chamber.

Spare 6-8K Spindle Mounted Hub; Seal, Bearings, Cap, Diaphragm, and Lug nuts.

Lighting: Custom welded taillight boxes with submersible, high-visibility, flush-mounted LED taillights for durability and to protect the lights from damage. Shielded Marine Grade Wiring.

Pad-Eye Tie-Down System:

Heavy-duty forward and rear welded aluminum tie-down points allow tie-down straps to be quickly and securely attached.

Ramp Wedges: Heavy-duty Ramp Wedges shall be welded to the frame forward of the axle to eliminate hangups and to facilitate safe retrieval of the trailer, if it drops off the edge of the ramp.
