About this file

This is a Statement of Work issued by the Washington Army National Guard, 96th Aviation Troop Command, dated 15 June 2026.

The Army Aviation Support Facility #1 (AASF#1) requires the purchase of sling load training blocks in the following specifications: one 12,000-pound block, one 8,000-pound block, one 5,000-pound block, one 2,000-pound block, one 1,000-pound block, and two 575-pound hoist re-seat blocks. All training blocks must be manufactured in accordance with NATICK standards. The requirement exists because AASF#1 currently possesses no training blocks and has historically relied on equipment belonging to an active duty unit on the airfield that is relocating to Alaska. These training blocks are essential for the facility to conduct sling load Measurable Unit of Training (METL) task qualifications and to prepare personnel for fire bucket handling and personnel hoist operations. The point of contact for this procurement is SFC Edward E. Roelofs, BDE S-4 NCOIC, reachable at edward.e.roelofs.mil@army.mil or 253-912-3417.
