About this file

This document is a Revised Appendix A specification table for the Cottonwood Mine Closure Project in Colorado, detailing mine closure work requirements across multiple feature locations. The project encompasses the installation of mine closures for various underground openings including shafts, adits, and stopes, with closure methods ranging from machine backfill and corrugated steel pipe installations to grated shaft closures and rock bulkheads. The specification table identifies 16 distinct features across three categories: Item 4.0 Install Mine Closures (6 guaranteed features), Item 5.0 Install Mine Closures Not Guaranteed (4 features), and Item 6.0 Maintenance Features Not Guaranteed (6 features). Each feature entry includes location coordinates in UTM NAD83 format, opening dimensions, depth measurements, closure methodology, applicable specification sections and standard drawings, and detailed work descriptions including sediment control measures and material specifications.

The document specifies closure techniques with precise technical requirements for materials such as twenty-four-inch diameter twelve-gauge corrugated steel pipe, polyurethane foam installation, concrete footers, rock fill quantities ranging from five to ten cubic yards for select features, and excelsior waddles for stormwater sediment control. Closure methods are referenced against detailed specification sections and standard drawings, with particular attention to bat habitat protection through bat grates, bat cupolas, and bat-accessible door installations. The revised document date of August 12, 2026 indicates an updated project scope, and features are geographically distributed across multiple UTM coordinates, suggesting a large geographic project area requiring coordination of multiple concurrent closure operations.
