GRKO Rotating Log Grapple Attachment for Kubota Mini Excavator Specifications.

Description of Needs:

The equipment must meet or exceed the specifications listed below:

Grant Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site seeks to purchase a hydraulic, non-dangling, fixed, rotating log grapple that will be fitted to and operated by a park-owned 2012 Kubota KX121-3 mini excavator (serial#: 74467). The grapple will not be permanently fitted to the machine, and operators must have the ability to remove and reattach the grapple as needed. All parts necessary to fit the grapple to the Kubota KX121-3 must be included in the offer, parts only, no instillation necessary.

Specific Uses and Desired Performance:

This attachment will be used to repair, rebuild, and preserve the park's 50 log gateways.

- This attachment must allow the operator to safely grab, lift, and rotate 20-foot, 8-inch-diameter logs (gateposts) weighing 300-500 pounds each.

- The grapple must allow the operator to rotate the logs vertically (completely straight up and down), place the base of the logs in a 3-4ft deep hole, and hold them standing upright and vertical until bracing can be secured to the logs.

Specs:

- The grapple must have the ability to be fitted to the boom of a 2012 Kubota KX121-3 mini excavator.

- The grapple must have the ability to grip, handle, lift, and raise 500-1000 pounds, stand the load up vertically, and rotate the load a full 360 degrees.

- The grapple must be fixed to the boom of the mini excavator not dangling (a dangling log grapple will not be capable of accomplishing the required tasks).

- The grapple must have full operating ability from the cab of the 2012 Kubota KX121-3 mini excavator.

- All additional hoses, couplers, lugging assemblies, etc. that must be added to the Kubota KX121-3 to operate the grapple must be included in the offer. All additional parts necessary to fit the grapple to the excavator must be specified, cost estimated, and included in the offer.
