About this file
These are technical specifications for the Sand Wash Recreation Site Improvements project, detailing comprehensive construction requirements for a Bureau of Land Management site in Moffat County, Colorado. The project scope includes improving an existing parking lot by grading and placing aggregate surfacing, installing a precast concrete single-vault toilet building, constructing an ADA-compliant concrete parking area, and adding site amenities such as steel parking delineators, concrete wheel stops, boulders, a kiosk, precast concrete tables, and cabanas.
The technical specifications provide precise requirements for each project element, including material specifications, installation methods, and performance standards. Key construction activities involve excavation and fill, culvert installation, concrete work, and specialized site furnishings. The project has a 90-day completion timeline, with work to occur Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Materials must meet specific standards from organizations like ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI, and include detailed requirements for aggregate surfacing, concrete mixing, reinforcement, and site-specific components like the precast toilet building with specific design criteria such as wall thickness, load capacities, and color specifications.
