About this file

This is a Pesticide Application Record (PAR) completed by Weeds Gone Buh Bye, LLC. under BLM Contract Number 140L0620C0014 for the Crane Spring Herbicide Weed Treatment project administered by the Bureau of Land Management Elko District in Nevada. The application was conducted on June 5, 2020, treating 40 acres across two project units (NVE000-19-009-P and NVE000-19-008-P). Nevada Licensed Applicator John Doe (#516009) supervised a crew of four members. The herbicide application utilized ground-based UTV equipment with broadcast spray delivery at a calibration rate of 20 gallons per acre, applying 800 gallons total of mixed pesticides and adjuvants during operations from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The treatment involved two primary active ingredients: Tordon 22k (picloram at 16 fluid ounces per acre, EPA Reg #62719-6) manufactured by DowAgro Sciences, and Escort XP (metsulfuron methyl at 1 ounce per acre, EPA Reg #432-1549) manufactured by Bayer Environmental Sciences. Two adjuvants were applied: Activator 90 (0.25% solution v/v) by Loveland Products Inc. and Hi-Light (0.25% solution v/v) by Becker Underwood. The target species was Scotch thistle (ONAC code) at pre-bud rosette phenology stage with approximately 10 percent estimated cover. Weather conditions ranged from 61°F to 84°F with relative humidity from 46 to 35 percent and winds averaging 2-3 miles per hour with maxima of 4-7 miles per hour from southwest to south directions. Associated GPS tracklogs were documented in three files to record treatment boundaries.
