About this file

This is a Pesticide Application Record (PAR) documenting a herbicide weed treatment operation conducted by Weeds Gone Buh Bye, LLC. under Contract Number 140L0620C0014 for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Elko District in Nevada. The treatment, designated as the Crane Spring Herbicide Weed Treatment project, was performed on June 5, 2020, covering 40 total acres across two BLM Pesticide Use Proposal (PUP) sites (NVE000-19-009-P and NVE000-19-008-P).

The operation applied 800 gallons of mixed herbicide solution at 20 gallons per acre using ground-based UTV equipment with a spot spray pattern. The treatment targeted Scotch thistle at 10% estimated cover in the pre-bud rosette phenology stage. Two active ingredients were applied: Tordon 22k (Picloram, 16 fluid ounces per acre) manufactured by DowAgro Sciences (EPA Reg. 62719-6) and Escort XP (Metsulfuron methyl, 1 ounce per acre) manufactured by Bayer Environmental Sciences (EPA Reg. 432-1549). Two adjuvants were included: Activator 90 (Loveland Products Inc., 0.25% solution) and Hi-Light (Becker Underwood, 0.25% solution). The treatment was conducted by Nevada Licensed Applicator John Doe (#516009) with a crew of five members. Weather conditions during application ranged from 61°F to 84°F with wind speeds averaging 2-3 mph and relative humidity from 46% to 35%. Three associated GPS tracklogs documented the application areas.
