About this file
This is a specifications document for lighting replacement at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) Building 410A for an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) application. The specifications detail requirements for LED lighting fixtures to replace existing infrastructure, establishing performance standards, installation criteria, and operational requirements for the lighting system upgrade.
The document specifies LED luminaire requirements including color temperature (4000K), Color Rendering Index (CRI) minimum of 80, and lumen output specifications varying by fixture type and application area. Installation requirements address mounting heights, spacing, electrical connections, and integration with existing building systems. The specifications mandate compliance with applicable codes and standards, including National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and energy efficiency standards. Fixtures must be durable for indoor industrial and outdoor applications as applicable, with specifications for control systems, dimming capabilities where required, and warranty provisions. The document establishes technical performance metrics for illumination levels, uniformity ratios, and glare control across different facility zones, ensuring the lighting system meets operational needs for the fire center's ITS functions while optimizing energy efficiency and maintenance requirements.
