Grand Teton National Park Specifications Slide - In Water Tank & Spray System

Requirement: Purchase of a slide-in water tank and independent pump for separate hose and spray systems, for fitment in a Williamsen-Goodwin dump body, model WG14HTS-0B. Tank will be constructed of 3/16 inch mild steel, 100% welded. Contractor shall be responsible for verifying proper fitting and overall unit and truck compliance for vehicle GVW and Wyoming DOT standards.

Option to buy a second tank may be exercised. Pricing for second tank is requested in this RFQ as an option line item.

1. Vehicle specifications

· Contractor shall verify all measurements with park representative prior to construction.

· Kenworth dump truck with 18,000 front and 40,000 rears. Curb weight is 26860 lbs. - Front Curb was 13680 rear 12280.

· Bed dimensions

· 163 inches long; 155 inches to bed bars by cab, pictures available

· 85 inches wide between bed sides, 74 inches for the flat part of bed floor (bed to floor joint is curved/sloped)

· 45 inches tall at tailgate, 60 at cab

· 49 inches from the inside bottom of bed to the ground

2. Water Tank System Specifications

· Tank

· Minimum 2,000 gallons capacity

· Contractor shall work with park representative to maximize capacity based on truck and available weight after factoring in tank system dry weight.

· Standard NFPA Baffling

· Minimum 24 inch x 24 inch Manway for entry into tank

· Minimum 4 lift eyes mounted in (1) each of the upper corner

· 4 tie down points, the rear 2 to be mounted

· System will stand on its own when outside the bed of the truck

· Tank will have 2 Rear Adjustable Legs w/multiple pin in locations & 2 Front auto-retractable legs w/ lockable Jack Stands with pin in locations and front slide rollers.

· Tank level viewing tube, rear mounted

· Epoxied interior coating

· Permanent ladder mounted on rear

· Filling & Spraying

· Rear mounted hydrant fill point with appropriate air gap for contamination and backflow prevention

· Rear spray system with appropriate gravity system or dedicated engine pump with all the necessary items for proper function included: Fuel Tank, Battery + Case, Plumbing, Valves, Fittings, Hose, etc.

· Rear spray system shall cover at least a 20ft width and will include all necessary Valves, Couplings, Spray Heads, Air Fittings, Airline, Pipe, Pipe Fittings, Plumbing Fittings, and Misc. Components.

· Installed minimum 1 inch x 50 foot Spring Rewind hose reel system, including all necessary components - Hose Reel, Hose, Hose Reel Nozzle, Clamps, Mounting Brackets, Hose Fittings, Ball Valve, Misc. Hardware.

· All necessary Electric/Pneumatic Solenoid Bank for 2 rear sprays and controls for in the cab of the truck with an estimated 30' harness

· Rear mounted manual quick dump

3. Delivery Requirements

· Tank will be delivered winterized to:

· Grand Teton National Park Headquarters 103 Headquarters Loop Rd Moose, WY 83012 Monday-Thursday 8:00AM-4:30PM (MST) excluding government holidays

· Delivery to include offloading, Grand Teton National Park assumes no role in the offloading of delivered tank without prior consultation.
