About this file

This Statement of Work outlines requirements for DOT trailer inspections needed by the BLM Southern Nevada District Fire Division at the Red Rock BLM Fire Station in Las Vegas. The work involves conducting annual DOT inspections on 19 light to moderate duty trailers (including single axle box, dual axle box, dual axle car hauler, and gooseneck dual axle trailers) by a qualified DOT inspector before April 1st, 2025.

The specific requirements include documenting inspections on DOT Inspection Forms, recording repairs on BLM Annual Inspection Forms, installing current DOT inspection stickers, and collecting detailed information about axle manufacturers, models, and weight ratings for all trailers. Additionally, three trailers require hub and bearing inspection/repacking (two with standard grease-packed hubs and one with oil bathed hubs). The vendor must document bearing types, part numbers, and seal part numbers for these trailers, inspect all tires for wear and age, and report replacement needs to the District. Work will commence upon receipt of written notice from the Contracting Officer and must be performed at 2925 Moenkopi Road, Las Vegas, NV 89135.

Statement of Work

1. Purpose and Need: BLM Policy states that all trailers need to have a D.O.T inspection completed annually by a qualified D.O.T Inspector. The Southern Nevada District BLM needs all its fire divisions fleet of trailers D.O.T inspected to comply with policy. Due to the number of trailers requiring inspection, the BLM needs the qualified inspector to complete inspections at the following location: Red Rock BLM Fire Station. Trailer inspections need to be completed before April 1st, 2025. The BLM will provide an itemized list.

One specific item the BLM is requesting is that the selected vendor notate certain items for each trailer as it is inspected. The BLM will provide an information sheet that the vendor can fill out for each trailer as they go through it. The information sheet may be a paper copy, or a digital form (i.e. through Microsoft Forms). The items to be noted are:
