About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for an effort to upgrade the memory on 4 Dell R750 servers used in the virtual server and desktop environment of the Alaska Fire Service (AFS). The objective is to increase the memory on each server from 512GB to 640GB in order to support more virtual servers and desktops during heightened operational periods. The successful vendor will provide 16 Dell 32GB memory modules, and the AFS Northern Alaska IT staff will be responsible for installing the memory. The SOW includes the Dell service tag IDs for the 4 servers to confirm the required memory type. The procurement POCs are Bill Beach, Northern Alaska IT Supervisor, and John Vallejos, System Administrator. The related federal contract opportunity is Solicitation Number 140L0224Q0036 for the "AFS MEMORY UPGRADE FOR ESXI HOSTS" issued by the Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management Alaska Region.

Statement of Work

1.0 Background

The Alaska Fire Service (AFS) operates a virtual server and desktop environment. The purpose of this environment is to provide computing resources needed to support the fire suppression mission of the Alaska

Fire Service.

2.0 Objective

We have 4 - Dell R750 servers that came with 512G of memory each. We would like to get them up to 640G each.

The objective of this procurement is to acquire additional memory for the virtual environment, which will allow

IT to support more virtual servers and desktops operating concurrently in the environment. The additional memory is necessary because more resources are used during heightened operational periods to support the fire mission. We are attempting to ensure the virtual environment will continue to operate effectively when additional resources are necessary during increased fire activity, which includes an increase of the number of users requiring computer access.

3.0 Requirements

The successful vendor will provide sixteen of the following memory modules:

Dell Memory Upgrade - 32GB - 2RX8 DDR4 RDIMM 3200MHz 16Gb BASE

Northern Alaska IT staff will be responsible for installing the memory modules in the servers at AFS.

Vendors will need the Dell service tag IDs for each server to confirm the type of memory modules necessary to perform the upgrade: 2HTJRN3, 3HTJRN3, 4HTJRN3, 5HTJRN3.

4.0 Deliverables

We need sixteen of the memory modules specified in the requirements section to achieve our stated objective.

5.0 Contacts
