NATIONAL PARK SERVICE
A04 STATEMENT OF WORK: REPLACE JET RODDER PUMP ON VACTOR 2100
COMBINATION SEWER TRUCK
1. BACKGROUND
The jet rodder pump which is used to build pressure on the Vactor 2100 Combination Sewer Cleaner truck is leaking hydraulic fluids needs to be replaced. This pump is critical to the operation of the pump truck which is used to service restrooms and road culverts parkwide.
This project will replace the jet rodder pump, repair leak on water hose, and any associated components to assure the pump is functioning properly to support the overall operation of the combination sewer cleaner truck.
2. SERVICE LOCATION:
Service repair contractor shall be within 100 driving miles of Boulder City, Nevada.
Transportation or driving the truck longer distances will put unnecessary wear on the truck and could compromise the hydraulic system until this repair is completed.
3. PROJECT TASKS
The following tasks shall be completed by contractor as a part of this contract:
A. Replace jet rodder pump part# 62180RP and associated components required for functional operation. If any associated parts, identified after rodder pump repair, are found to be damaged or needing replaced/repaired to assure proper operation and function of the jet rodder pump; the contractor shall contact the contracting officer (CO) with a quote for any additional parts/repairs for CO approval.
B. Test jet rodder pump after installation following the manufacturer testing guidelines. If guidelines do not exist, contractor shall run the truck through a water pump test assuring pressure at the low, medium, and high settings meet the PSI specification of the unit:
a. Water pump check to water reservoir tank
b. Pressure washer hose on side of truck has appropriate pressure
c. Pressure washer hose on front of truck has appropriate pressure
C. Vendor must be an authorized Vactor service center.
D. Check the hydraulic pressure of fluid going into rodder jet pump according to manufacturer specifications.
E. Replenish and add the correct amount of manufacturer recommended hydraulic fluid according to sight glass on reservoir.
F. Identify and repair water leak on front hose real.
G. Vendor must be within 100 driving miles of Boulder City, NV.
5. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:
All tasks and deliverables for this contract must be completed within 30 of days after award.
After award, once the parts have been delivered to the contractor, the contractor will schedule a
14-day period to perform the repairs. This is a critical piece of equipment for LAKE and can only be out of service for a 14-day duration due to the requirements of park operations.
