About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Elk Refuge in Wyoming, detailing a siding replacement project for Quarters 128, also known as the "Calkins House". The project involves completely removing the existing board and batten siding, deteriorated trim, and fascia of the 1,956 square foot structure, and replacing it with an engineered wood or fiber cement siding product in a Prairie Clay or neutral earth tone color.

The work is to be performed at 2600 National Elk Refuge Road, Jackson, WY, between October 1, 2025, and November 15, 2025. The contractor will supply all materials, equipment, tools, and labor necessary for the siding replacement, including installing weatherproof wrap, prefinished smooth siding, wood trim, repairing fascia, and painting. The siding must be rated to withstand extreme temperatures without warping, cracking, or fading, and should not require long-term maintenance. The Technical Coordinator, Sean Brophy, will oversee the project and provide site access, with work to be completed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
