STATEMENT OF WORK
Replacement of HVAC System in Administration Building
Revised November 21, 2025
GENERAL: Spring Creek National Fish Hatchery (SCNFH) is a Chinook salmon propagation facility located in south central Washington State, on the Columbia River, in Underwood, WA. The
HVAC system in the Administration building is in need of replacement.
SCOPE: The old HVAC system has had issues for several years now, requiring constant repair.
Recently, an HVAC technician from a local company looked at the old system and recommended total replacement, as opposed to constantly putting Band-Aids on it which have proven to be expensive and ineffective. The project is considered urgent due to extreme weather conditions.
Replace old system with new model/equipment sufficient for the square footage of the subject area (~1600 sq. ft with 8' ceilings). This includes pad, backup heat kit, line set, thermostat, duct work, drain connections, surge protector, and any other parts deemed necessary.
PLACE/DELIVERY AND PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Spring Creek National Fish Hatchery, 61552
State Hwy 14, Underwood, WA 98651. Work to be completed during normal working hours of
0730 to 1600 hours, Monday through Friday. Special arrangements must be made in advance if work will occur during non-duty hours including week nights, weekends, and government holidays. POP is ASAP due to expected cold winter weather. Period of Performance end date will be 01/30/2026.
INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE: The work will be inspected by the Hatchery Manager or designated person. The COR for this project is Jorge Alcala, who is currently certified as such.
