About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a roof replacement project for the Ohana Maintenance Garage (Building O-208) at Mount Rainier National Park. The project involves a full tear-off and replacement of the existing 3-ply SBS torch-applied roofing system on a 3,285 square foot gable roof with a 3/12 pitch. Key scope elements include mobilization, removal and disposal of the existing roof, deck inspection and repair, installation of a new 2-ply SBS roofing system, perimeter and penetration flashings, and site cleanup.
The project is located in the Ohanapecosh area of the park, with a restricted work window from May to October. Critical requirements include compliance with various standards and codes (ASTM, NFPA, IBC, OSHA), preservation of the non-contributing structure's aesthetic, and adherence to safety protocols. Deliverables include pre-installation meeting minutes, weekly progress reports, deck inspection logs, water-tightness test records, and final documentation. Acceptance criteria mandate no ponding or leaks, weathertight flashings, and final sign-off by MORA Safety and Facilities.

The rooftop is insulated with exception to the overhang creating approximately a 4-inch step around the perimeter on 3 sides, 1 gable side transitions with roof to Block wall flashing on the south slope and an existing metal roof that will require a transition flashing on the north slope. (South slope approximately 35 feet 61 feet, North slope approximately 18 feet x 61feet.
