About this file
This document is a Technical Specification for the replacement of a 2,000-gallon fuel storage tank at the Green Lake National Fish Hatchery in Ellsworth, Maine. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requires a contractor to remove the existing 2,000-gallon above-ground diesel fuel storage tank and replace it with a new 1,000-gallon above-ground diesel fuel storage tank. The project scope includes disconnecting and removing the existing tank, properly disposing of it according to environmental standards, setting the new tank on the existing concrete pad, reconnecting supply and return lines, and installing government-supplied equipment. The tank must meet all safety requirements for primary and secondary containment, leak monitoring, spill containment, and overfill protection. The government anticipates a firm-fixed price award in July 2025, with work to be completed within 30 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed, while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing hatchery operations.
