Grand Teton National Park Statement of Work Service for John Deere Articulated wheel loader 644K, 201, VIN: 1DW644K2CBE641000, license I-513781.
1. Introduction & Contract Type o Grand Teton National Park Facility Management Division requires a 9,000 hour service, to include several service items not performed at service intervals between 6,000 - 9,000 hours, to be performed by an authorized/certified John
Deere Mechanic.
o Servicing contractor to arrange for shipping and delivery of the unit from park headquarters to service center and back to Grand Teton Park Headquarters.
Specific service requests attached in statement of work.
o Completion of service and unit return to be completed by 11/06/2024.
2. Specific Tasks or Requirements o Contractor Shall perform the following services as part of the 9,000 hour service interval:
▪ Includes standard John Deere 100, 500, 1,000, 2,000, 4,000, 5,000 & 6,000 hour service components.
▪ 100 hrs
• Lubricate loader linkage and cylinder pivots
▪ 500 hrs
• Lubricate driveline lower U-joints
• Replace in-line fuel filter
• Lubricate driveline upper and lower sliding joints
• Lubricate front and rear axle shaft seals
• Lubricate front and rear shaft seals on park brake
• Check ride control accumulator
• Replace hydraulic reservoir breather filter
• Check air intake hoses and charge air cooler tube couplings
• Replace fast fill fuel breather (if equipped)
• Drain and refill engine oil and replace filter
• Replace primary fuel filter with water separator
• Replace final fuel filter
▪ 1000 hrs
• Replace air cleaner dust unloader valve
• Replace engine air cleaner elements
• Replace axle oil & filter

• Lubricate frame hinge pivots
• Drain and refill park brake oil
▪ 2000 hrs
• Drain and refill transmission oil and replace filter
• Check and adjust engine valve lash
• Drain and refill front and rear axle oil
• Replace outer pin seals
• Replace open crankcase vent (OCV) filter
• Rerun transmission clutch calibration (cab monitor)
▪ 4000 hrs
• Replace diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank breather filter
• Drain, flush, and refill hydraulic system oil
• Replace diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) dosing unit filter4
• Clean hydraulic system fill strainer
• Replace hydraulic system return filter
▪ 5000 hrs
• Check driveline damper for cracks
▪ 6000 hrs
• Drain and refill cooling system
• Replace diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) in-line filter o Contractor Shall perform the following repairs, including diagnosis:
▪ EGR trouble code
▪ Front windshield wiper issue, wiper does not always stop, even when in cab button indicates “off”
▪ Machine intermittently ‘pulls left’ and operator must slowly and continuously turn steering wheel clockwise to maintain straight travel.
▪ Operator seat bleeds off air over time.
3. Period of Performance o Completion of service and unit return to be completed by 11/06/2024.
4. Delivery Requirements o Servicing contractor to arrange for shipping and delivery of the unit from park headquarters to service center and back to Grand Teton Park Headquarters.
