Statement of Work Media Placement of Fire Prevention Messaging

Project Title:

Nevada State Fire Prevention Media Campaign – Streaming Services

Background:

In concurrence with Secretarial Order 3336, Wildland Fire Preparedness Priority and the National Cohesive Strategy, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Nevada Fire and Aviation has a need to get a fire prevention message out to the general public across NV. As part of this prevention effort, the BLM needs to work with a media buying contractor to ensure the messages are distributed through several media outlets including streaming television and streaming radio stations.

BLM NV is expected to experience an active fire season and it is imperative these targeted prevention and education messages are distributed as wide as possible. The mediums proposed are designed to reach the maximum amount of the public.

Period of Performance: May 01, 2022 through August 31, 2022.

Scope:

The contractor will collaborate with the BLM Nevada State Fire & Aviation program on the distribution of existing fire prevention and education graphics, video and photos for streaming television and radio stations.

The video, audio and graphics will help inform the general public about the need to be careful when doing any outdoor activity that might start a wildfire as well as how to prepare their property to reduce the risk of a wildfire burning their home.

1. Purchase space for fire prevention PSAs on streaming platforms for television and radio within the provided budget amounts across Nevada; Carson City, Reno, Las Vegas, Ely, Winnemucca, Battle Mountain, Mesquite, Moapa, Elko, Northern Eureka and Northern Lander Counties. Specifically targeting outdoor enthusiast and road trippers. As these messages are for public safety, the contractor will work to get a discount when possible as many stations and sites often play PSAs like these at no charge as part of their normal programming schedule.
