RED ROCK FIRE STATION INTERNET
STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
1. Introduction The Southern Nevada District BLM Fire Program is pursuing the acquisition of wireless internet annual service plans. The primary goal of this acquisition is to provide the optimal network service to the Red Rock Fire Station. Acquiring this service will result in fire and law enforcement programs personnel gaining the ability to perform administrative and operational functions that are required as the agency has transitioned towards digital day-to-day operations that require reliable internet connectivity. This Statement of Work outlines the specific needs, requirements, and objectives that will be achieved by obtaining wireless internet.
2. Background
The Red Rock Fire Station is currently provided network through a microwave system that is limited to 45 megabytes per minute. This current service is not meeting the need of the numerous employees that work at the facility. There is currently no fiber optic or any other network cable to this facility, which makes wireless internet to be the only option. There are now new venders that provide wireless internet with much higher upload and download speeds that will meet the current and future needs of this facility.
3. Objective
The objective of this SOW is to acquire reliable high speed internet service to the Red Rock (BLM Fire Station 2925 Moenkopi Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89135). The wireless internet will be used by fire and LE personnel to complete everyday admin tasks while working at this facility.
4. Specific Requirements
• Wireless delivery of internet to the designated facility
• Provided Internet must provide a minimum of 250 megabytes symmetrical 24 hours a day.
• 29 Subnets for a total of 6 IP addresses. Dynamic is preferable to static.
• Equipment must be mounted on existing tower that is already grounded.
