Attachment 2 – Statement of Work (SOW)
Asbestos abatement project including removal and disposal of the asbestos materials and OSHA air sampling.
1.0 Background
Montezuma NWR will be building a new Visitors Center that will combine office space and public space at 3395 US Route 20 East in Seneca Falls, NY. The intention of the current center is to demolish the structure. The property was tested for asbestos on November 11, 2021, which came back positive for asbestos in the black floor mastic.
The material that would need to be removed is approximately 1550 sq ft of non-friable asbestos within the flooring. The original report indicates 2250 sq ft of black floor mastic which is based off the square footage of the entire building, however, two rooms in the building do not contain the asbestos containing black mastic. These two rooms are approximately 700 sq ft.
2.0 Scope
The asbestos will need to be removed per state and federal regulations before proper demolition and disposed of separately from the demolition waste. The scope of this abatement project will include removal of the asbestos materials, abatement materials, OSHA air sampling, and disposal of the asbestos materials as per the survey.
3.0 Period of Performance
Starting no earlier than December 1, 2026 and completing no later than March 1, 2027.
3.1 Hours of Operations
Delivery shall be during regular business hours which are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except recognized Federal holidays.
