Project: Replace Damaged Sections of Concrete at the Elk Creek Boat Ramp

Overview:

Replace Concrete Boat Ramp Sections at Elk Creek Marina. This project will replace a total of 32 individual sections of concrete traffic surface on Elk Creek boat ramp. The current concrete surface is eroding and causing a safety hazard for visitors. The concrete surface is well past its estimated design life.

The deteriorated sections will be replaced with new concrete slabs, reinforced with number 7 rebar to extend the life span. The concrete will be poured in 12-foot (FT) width X 15-FT length X 6-inch sections.

The ramp is between a 11- and 12-degree slope. The ramp will be open and will require one lane for boaters’ access to launch boats. At the end of September and into October visitation has decreased and number of boats accessing the lake have drastically decreased.
