ANNUAL FIRE EXTINGUISHER INSPEECTIONS & REPAIRS
Annual service/testing of park-wide fire extinguishers in Grand Teton National Park. Service performance dates are to be executed 4 consecutive calendar days in August 1 to September 30 (M-Th). Laborer will be available from 7am-4pm on these dates for navigation assistance. See provided maps for housing and work area locations.
The proposed dates for vehicle extinguisher testing must be set to alert employees. Contractor shall propose dates/method for this service with their offer. In the past, contractors have done one day in Moose and another day in Colter Bay. Contractor will be stationed in these locations and park staff will be aware that they are to drive in/drive out for testing to maintain adequate safety on these days.
Annual service/testing of fire extinguishers – Park wide, there are approximately 700 extinguishers. These approximately 700 extinguishers are located throughout Grand Teton National Park and estimates are as follows:
375 in Moose, WY 65 Beaver Creek Housing Area 25 in Highlands Housing Area 20 in Lupine Meadows Housing Area 40 in Moran, WY 150 in Colter Bay Village, WY 20 in Flagg Ranch area
All other areas will consolidate extinguishers to central locations in Moose, Moran, and Colter Bay. Contractor will receive direction as needed to these areas. Contractor is responsible for all transportation to these locations. Extinguishers will be available outside residences and in central work areas in Moose, Beaver Creek, Highlands, Lupine Meadows, Moran, and Colter Bay. Upon completion, contractor will provide an itemized list of work done and a list of extinguishers that need to be replaced. The contractor is responsible for disposal of out of date extinguishers.
