About this file

The document is a detailed Profilometer Checklist Form specifying technical requirements for a highly mobile off-road test course and terrain measurement system for the Aberdeen Test Center. The system requires a prime mover vehicle with robust off-road capabilities, including 4WD, locking differentials, 35" off-road tires, and ability to traverse challenging terrain with specific approach/departure angles and ground clearance. The vehicle must accommodate 2-3 occupants, operate in various environmental conditions, and meet military standards for road and off-road performance.

The checklist further details stringent sensor requirements for data collection, including continuous recording capabilities, GPS/INS integration, precise terrain scanning with 0.5-1 mm feature detection precision, and a vertical scanning range of at least 20 inches. Data requirements mandate non-proprietary format exports, rapid data visualization, comprehensive measurement logging (including GPS coordinates, angles, and displacement), and software compatibility with Army Golden Master standards. The system must be assemblable by 1-2 people within 4 hours, include necessary safety equipment, and provide a user interface displaying data collection status and scanner activity.
